I absolutely love this book! I was lucky enough to putchase it when it was $13.00. It has all the colors and numbers you need to keep track of your inventory. What would make this look better is if you want to double the price, put more charts in it! There are only two charts in this book. For $13 that is a great price. For $26, it is totally not fair and unacceptable! If you want to raise the price to $26 put in four or six charts to make it worthwhile. I am very disappointed with this company for raising the price and I have told my friends not to buy it until the price goes down.
This book is overly expensive. $29 for 29 pages and about half of the pages are duplicate so you can cut them out for easier use. Like the color cards and the feature of a second set. But the price does justify this.
It has all the colors for DMC, there is a column to glue on the drills/diamonds to the matching colors. It has two pages of each so if you choose to you can cut out a set of pages if you prefer to and keep a set still in tact in the book.
I was so excited to receive this book to finally organize my drills by number instead of by shade like in the DMC thread for card. I started matching numbers to colors and not 2 colors in I found a huge discrepancy in the colors. As you see in the picture, these are not the same color. The one with the drill glued onto the color is from the original DMC color card. Even by lowering their price for a few days does not make this book worth having miscolored DMC numbers
Pretty disappointed. It was very expensive and I thought it would be a better buy than it was.
I was really looking forward to using this book as a definitive description of DCM colors, but it’s not what I expected. I disagree with quite a few of the editor’s color descriptions, and find them very confusing. Are there really 10 variations of baby blue? Number 505, Grass Green, shows a color swatch that is a very pale beigy green. Certainly not the rich medium green found in other art products, like oil paints. Number 718, “Plum,†has a fuschia colored swatch next to it. I think the editor should have completely left out the color descriptions, and just stuck to the number and color swatch. Also, when I compared the color chart with packaged drills I bought from suppliers, some were so different that I feel that there is no way I can trust this book to use it as a definitive chart for DMCs.
Great chart. Instead of including two charts that are exactly the same, maybe one of those could be sorted by number and the other sorted by color like the DMV charts. Just a thought.
