No se va a dormir sin su cuento. Me lo trae el mismo cuando es la hora de dormir. Se lo leo una y otra vez hasta que cierre sus ojitos cuando digo "Y al fin se duerme la llama llama".La recomiendo de todo el corazón. Nos ha salvado.

My daughters insist on hearing this book every night. Only a little is lost in the translation--whoever translated it, did a good job. I rewrote one page because I just didn't like how it was written, however, overall nice translation. My kids have it memorized, and they won't even let me read it. i just turn the pages and they do the, "reading."

I started reading this book to my daughter when she was 15 months old, I bit too long at the time but she still laid quietly to listen to the story. Now at 2 1/2 years old, she's definitely engaged in the story line and absolutely loves the book. By the end of the story she's ready to sleep without fussing. The Spanish is acceptable, though not very competitive.

Happily, that is not the case. This Dark Chest of Wonders is a delightful read, close to being breezy, which is not a word one often uses when talking about the end of the world.Dealing with the different iterations of the ever-popular Stephen King book, This Dark Chest of Wonders starts at the very beginning. Archival material culled from old interviews with King reveal the genesis of the tale. You’ll learn about the poem that led to the short story that eventually became the gargantuan tome that became one of King’s most enduring tales. Then, the unabridged version of The Stand was released, making a large book even bigger. The original version isn’t even available anymore.A majority of This Dark Chest of Wonders consists of new conversations with those involved in telling King’s tale to different audiences. The Mick Garris section is particularly interesting. The director of the television mini-series is full of anecdotes about both the filming of the show and King himself. His experiences in Las Vegas would make an interesting book by themselves.The interviewees all come across as people pleased to tell their stories, but it’s the interviewer who makes them shine. It is the enthusiasm and ebullience shown for The Stand by author Andy Burns that makes This Dark Chest of Wonders an enjoyable read. [Disclosure: Andy Burns is the founder and editor-in-chief of Biff Bam Pop!] His questions are incisive, but phrased in such a way that his subjects feel free to go far beyond the scope of the queries. This is a subject Burns knows well, and that seemingly effortless knowledge shines through.Even though plenty of what Burns knows is on display here, there doesn’t seem to be enough of what he thinks. His writing style is conversational and engaging. One almost wishes they could grab a few beers with Burns and talk about things for an evening. While that attitude comes through during the interviews, it’s a shame that we don’t learn more about the author’s personal feelings and experiences with The Stand. While it is enlightening to read about The Stand, it’s a lot more fun when Burns uses his conversational tone to speak to the reader directly.The thing that plagues This Dark Chest of Wonders is the lack of involvement from King himself. An interview between Burns and King would have been the deal sealer here. Instead, we have snippets of things King has said in the past. There’s nothing inherently wrong with that, and it’s always good to hear where King’s head was at a particularly moment of writing. However, some of King’s quotes might be repeats for long time Constant Readers. Besides, we’re forty years on from the original publication of The Stand, and it would have been good to hear from the man himself about the story’s legacy.What we do get, though, is a ton of insider information. From the book itself to the mini-series, and on to the comic, the audiobook, and even the adaptations that never saw the light of day, This Dark Chest of Wonders covers every apocalyptic angle. Through all of it, Burns acts as our merry conductor, guiding us through the mess of twists and turns the story has taken. Because of the total mass of information in this book, it might be best to read it in sections instead of inhaling it all in one sitting. Nonetheless, This Dark Chest of Wonders is an important book for King fans and scholars, jammed with facts, anecdotes, and a sense of fun as infectious as Captain Trips itself.

Helpful study guide for my son

torn product makes for a difficult read

Great information and good study tool. HOWEVER, you have to be a teacher or school to get the answer key for the end of unit Quizzes!? WTH!? I went through college and have no desire hunting for the answers to correct my child's practice quiz. Some of them I know but, "the greatest effect on the application of the distance-decay function"? No, and I don't give an F....I was told by the staff at Perfection Learning that many APHG teachers use the SAME questions on their tests.. Really?! I get using maps and other images, but find another way. I will find these answers and post them online! SMH....

Both teachers that taught AP Hug at my school recommended this book because they said it was written by teachers, and that some of the writers of it also helped write the AP exam.I used this book, a Youtube channel (Andrew Patterson), and the units tests at my school to self study and learn AP hug, and I got a 5 on the exam. I also know that some people who took the actual class used this book as a study guide/review.Overall a pretty good book, though it does have some information that wasn't on the exam/as relevant in the ap class itself (which is why it is recommended to either have taken the class or have another resource in order to see what info is relevant).

Not refined, rushed book with lots of typo. Have to cancel and return took 3 weeks just to ship. If it is planned to be a text book it needs to be available in May. People jack up the price two to three times in auction sites, and after getting one, ends up see a lot of typos and misprint. More like a summer project of an elementary school student.
