Adam Gamble, is a writer, a photographer, and a publisher. He is the author of many books in the Good Night Books series, In the Footsteps of Thoreau, and A Public Betrayed. He lives in Sandwich, MA. Illustrator Cooper Kelly grew up in Connecticut and New York City and currently lives in Paris, France. He works in a variety of styles and has illustrated for a wide range of clients in adult and children’s publishing. As someone who has been camping at Lake George every summer since 1967, let me assure you that this book has NOTHING to do with Lake George. The pictures don't look like Lake George (America's most beautiful lake) and no Lake George landmarks are referenced (like the Million Dollar Beach, The Narrows, The Sagamore, Bolton Landing, The Hague, Black Mountain, Shelving Rock, The Mother Bunch, The Walloonians, Long Island, Pilot Knob, Assembly Point, Fort William Henry, Buck Mountain, etc., etc.). NOTHING. So buy this for a nice kid's book about a lake, but don't think it has ANYTHING to do with Lake George.
We live on a lake so it is a cute little book to give my grandchild. It is a cardboard book for little ones can't destroy it easily. Cute lake pictures with all the things you do on a lake.
My grandson and I love this little book. It is just the right length for a bedtime story. It's well thought out and has him asking the right questions. We like all the Good Night books but this is one of the ones that stand out.
I bought this for my first grandson, who lives by a lake. I used to read Good Night Moon to his mother, my daughter night after night when she was little.
Good dipiction of all the activities a lake experience can provide. Don't know if the target group( pre-schoolers) can follow the fast transitions but glad I got it for the grandkids visit to the lake!
It's a good book but I don't like it as much as some of their other books. There are some words in this book that even I don't know.
Cute book. Living on the lake it's pretty spot on. If you think it's going to be like the other very famous book with a similar title about a moon it is not. It should be more appropriately titled Good Morning, Good Night Lake.
2 year old loves the story and the pictures. Helps bring back fond memories of our summer vacation at the lake.
